Promoting school readiness through educational, health, nutritional, and social services, Head Start and Early Head Start programs facilitate the social and cognitive development of economically disadvantaged children.
But with a massive infrastructure of administrators, specialists, and grantees, Head Start relies heavily on the training, technical assistance, and grants management services of partners like STGi.
Since 2003, STGi has placed a cadre of content and technical assistance specialists as part of OHS' State TTA Centers and regional Head Start locations across the country. In addition to conducting individual and state cluster trainings, STGi experts routinely help grantees meet Federal regulations; implement monitoring and self-assessment processes; and foster collaboration between the Office of Head Start, State TTA Centers, and other training and technical assistance (T/TA) professionals.
Recently, STGi received eight state-based Head Start T/TA contracts, received three new regional Head Start T/TA contracts (Regions II, V, and VI), and maintained regional contracts for Regions IV and IX.
With entrenched standing and intimate knowledge of the Head Start mission, STGi is poised to continue its lasting impact on the Head Start and Early Head Start initiatives for years to come.
