Training & Technical Assistance

Whether designing informational resources, conducting professional development training, or facilitating collaboration among Federal and state partners, STGi Training and Technical Assistance (T/TA) professionals bring experience, knowledge, and innovative T/TA practices to the Head Start, Early Head Start, and early childhood communities.

STGi supports the Office of Head Start by providing T/TA and Early Childhood Education Specialists who assist individual Head Start and Early Head Start grantees in meeting Federal regulations for program design and management, fiscal management, and program governance, as well as help meet curriculum and school readiness priorities and provide adequate professional development opportunities for grantee staff.

In addition, our State-based T/TA offices conduct statewide needs assessments, which form the basis for continual, cluster-level training sessions aimed at Head Start and Early Head Start programs and partners.

To ensure high-quality and innovative T/TA solutions, STGi is committed to:

  • Maintaining an integrated, ongoing monitoring and self-assessment process in alignment with the Office of Head Start's functional priorities.
  • Expanding strategies for identifying new program improvements to ensure sustained, top-level performance of grantee agencies.
  • Addressing emerging issues that affect local Head Start and Early Head Start programs within the broad scope of T/TA.
  • Fostering collaboration and coordination with the Office of Head Start, statewide early childhood partners, Head Start State Collaboration Offices, Head Start State Associations, and other T/TA providers.
