Customer Service Support Services in Region I

In ACF Region I, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, STGi's Head Start Customer Support staff aides in the implementation of a full range of grants and program management activities for programs serving children and families in the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Through ongoing analysis and optimization of work flow processes, we ensure maximum efficiency for the Region's Federally-funded grant programs, while providing management and administrative support for day-to-day program operations.

We also develop and maintain database systems to track and analyze national Program Information Reports (PIR) reports and data; to facilitate TA work, OHS Monitoring visits, outcome trends, and grantee self-assessments; and to meet all regional office data needs.

On the fiscal side, STGi performs a full range of grants management duties—resolving audit findings, reviewing financial reports (i.e., SF-269s), and handling grant close-outs.

Furthermore, in response to emerging regional priorities and OHS initiatives, STGi routinely designs and produces a variety of educational materials—including professional development resources and training guides—for the Regional Office staff and its supported grantees.

Other services include:

  • Supporting and coordinating the risk management process
  • Overseeing a full range of administrative responsibilities
  • Entering data into the Head Start Enterprise System (HSES)
  • Assisting with risk analyses and meeting agenda development
  • Tracking and monitoring the new 2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) reporting requirements

In addition, STGi's Customer Support staff works seamlessly with the ACF Region I staff to help the Office of Head Start and local grantees provide vital, comprehensive early childhood services to young children and their families.
