about us

How Can One Organization Impact the Lives of Countless Young Children and Their Families?

By helping human service and early childhood professionals reach their full potential.

Since 2003, STGi has helped the Office of Head Start identify best practices for improving the quality of early childhood education, health, nutrition, and social services in Head Start and Early Head Start programs across the nation.

We pride ourselves on delivering a variety of professional and staff development opportunities to educators, administrators, human service providers, and other members of the early childhood development and early care workforce.

In particular, we're known for providing practical approaches that increase collaboration among human service agencies, multi-service organizations, and local education agencies aimed at improving school readiness for children and self-sufficiency for families.

As a facilitator of strategic change and program improvement, we develop shared visions, differentiate roles, and build collaboration among our Federal, state, and local program partners.

In addition to providing training and technical assistance leadership and support to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families' Office of Head Start, STGi operates 15 state-based Head Start offices, covering two of the largest geographic areas in the nation and spanning nine time zones, two U.S. Territories (American Samoa, Guam), and two nations (Republic of Palau, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands).
